After breakfast at the hotel, we complete our check-out procedures and leave the hotel with our luggage. Our first stop is Venice, established on 118 islands as a historical pirate colony. We reach our private vaporetto waiting for us at the Troncetto pier to get to San Marco island, also known as the real Venice and the largest among these islands. After about half an hour of travel on the water, we begin our walking tour on this island, which is named after the patron saint of Venice. Apart from the natural channel called Canale Grande (Grand Canal), many artificially made channels provided easy access to the depths of the island from the sea. Today, because of these channels, you have to cross many bridges while wandering around the island. This beautiful place, holding history at every corner, will feature some of the sights including the Doge's Palace, Prison, Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Basilica which houses some artifacts brought from Istanbul, St. Mark's Square, bell tower, astronomical clock, and the Rialto Bridge. After this wonderful tour where we will find ourselves in different realms through various stories told by our guide, there will be free time. During free time, you can check out the shops selling items made of Murano glass, buy hundreds of varieties of masks identified with Venice, sit in pleasant cafes and sip your drinks accompanied by music played by the orchestra, or taste seafood cuisine. Guests who wish can participate in the optional Gondola tour, which is a must when Venice is mentioned (30 Euros). This dream-like journey lasting about half an hour among water channels is an unforgettable experience that everyone should live at least once in their lifetime. (Gondolas have a capacity of 5 people and the given price is per person. However, if requested by our valued guests, a private gondola tour for couples can be arranged with musical accompaniment if desired. You can learn special prices for these special requests from our guide) After free time, we meet at the time and place specified by our guide, return to Troncetto by private vaporetto, and continue our tour by bus.
