After visiting this shrine, which was built in 1920 in memory of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, we continue our tour in Shibuya with the “Scramble Crossing”. Located in the middle of business and shopping centers, the pedestrian crossing, which is in one of the busiest areas of the city, is known as the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world. Following our journey of approximately 1 hour, we begin our city tour. The city of Kyoto, which was the only place in Japan not bombed during World War II, is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We start our city tour with the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is one of the most iconic tourist destinations located in Kyoto, showcasing the fascinating beauty of nature. Located in the Arashiyama region, this bamboo grove enchants visitors with its peaceful atmosphere, especially when visited early in the morning or at sunset. The narrow walking paths extending among the tall, thin, and lush green bamboos offer both an experience intertwined with nature and unique landscapes for photography enthusiasts. The bamboo grove will welcome us with a 500-meter walking track. During this walk along the track, we will experience pleasant moments with the sound of the wind reaching us through the bamboos. Then our next stop is Kinkakuji Temple. Also known as the "Golden Pavilion Temple," this structure was built in the 14th century as a villa for Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu and was converted into a Zen temple after his death. The most striking feature of the temple is that its upper two floors are completely covered with gold leaf; when this magnificent image reflects on Kyoko-chi (Mirror Pond) located in front of the temple, the scenery becomes almost fairy-tale-like. Kinkakuji inspires admiration in its visitors not only with its architecture but also with its carefully landscaped Japanese garden and peaceful nature surrounding it. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this temple is one of Kyoto's most visited and photographed historical structures. At the same time, this hall stands out as one of the largest wooden structures in the world. The temple is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and offers deep insights into Japanese culture and Buddhism. After our tour, we visit Nara Deer Park, a large park located in the center of Nara. Nara Deer Park is a large park located in Nara, Japan, famous for the hundreds of deer roaming freely. Established in 1880, this park attracts millions of tourists every year with both its natural beauties and cultural riches. About 1,000 "sika" deer, a Japanese deer species, live in the park, and these deer are considered sacred by the local people. According to legend, deer were put under protection because a god came to Nara in the form of a deer in ancient times. Visitors can feed these cute animals by purchasing special deer biscuits called "shika senbei" from stalls in the park. The deer are quite accustomed to tourists and are also famous for occasionally acting as if bowing slightly to greet them. Later, we set out to explore Kobe, Japan's sixth-largest city with a population of approximately 1.5 million.
