DAY 1 ISTANBUL AIRPORT – CATANIA
Meeting with our esteemed guests at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal at 13:00. After luggage drop, passport and check-in procedures, departure for Catania with Turkish Airlines flight TK1395 at 16:55. Arrival in Catania at 18:25 local time. We depart for Catania city center with our waiting vehicle. During our panoramic city tour, Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell’Elefante, Republic Square (Piazza della Repubblica) and Etna Street are among the sights to be seen. Transfer to the hotel after the tour. Free time after check-in procedures. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 2 SAVOCA – TAORMINA – GIARDINI NAXOS – CATANIA
After morning breakfast, we start our full-day tour at the time specified by our guide beforehand. In Savoca, we will see the locations where the world-famous movie “The Godfather” was filmed. Bar Vitelli and San Michele Church are among the places to visit. After walking through movie-like streets, we depart for Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea and the most beautiful coastal town of Sicily. After visiting this charming town with its unique view, its location at the foot of Mount Tauro, its streets and souvenir shops, we move on to Giardini Naxos, famous for its colorful streets and volcanic beach. You can capture unforgettable frames in this historical settlement founded in 734 BC as the first Greek colony of Sicily. Return to our hotel after the visit. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 3 ETNA – CEFALU – PALERMO
After morning breakfast, we complete our hotel check-out procedures and depart for Etna. While heading towards Etna, we get the opportunity to take magnificent photos of Mount Etna, which embraces us with its vegetation and scenery. While ascending Europe's highest active volcanic mountain, we will see the 2nd crater, Silvestri, at an altitude of 1800 meters. Afterwards, we continue our tour accompanied by beautiful views in the region formed by the lava of Mount Etna. Then we arrive in Cefalù. In this charming fishing town located on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea, we see the 12th-century historical cathedral and the Fishermen's Gate, and spend pleasant time in its original streets. After the tour, we arrive at our hotel in Palermo. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 4 ERICE – CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO – MONREALE – PALERMO
After morning breakfast, at the time determined by our guide, we depart for Erice, a typical medieval city with its walls, stone houses with courtyards, and streets. During the free time we will give here, you will feel yourself in the Middle Ages. Then we move on to Castellammare del Golfo. One of Trapani's small yet impressive towns, Castellammare del Golfo draws attention with its historical texture and natural beauties. Its long coastline and Arab-Norman Castle are among the sights to be seen. Afterwards, we visit the Monreale Cathedral, one of the most important structures of Sicily bearing the traces of Norman, Byzantine and Islamic art. Attracting attention with its 6,500 square meters of mosaics, the cathedral is considered one of the best examples of Norman period art. Then we return to Palermo city center. Politeama Square, Quattro Canti Square, Via Roma and Via Libertà streets are among the places to be seen. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 5 PALERMO – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
After morning breakfast, we make use of our free time. At the time specified by our guide, we complete our hotel check-out procedures and depart for Palermo Airport. After passport and luggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines flight TK1376 at 19:35. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 23:05 local time and end of our tour.
