DAY 01 ISTANBUL AIRPORT – BARI – POLIGNANO A MARE – BARI
Meeting with our valued guests at 03:55 at the Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. After baggage drop-off and passport procedures, departure to Bari at 06:55 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1445. Arrival at Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport at 07:55 local time. Upon arrival, we proceed to Bari city center with our private vehicle awaiting us.
Bari, the administrative center of Puglia, one of Italy's 20 administrative regions, is a historic port city on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. It is one of the largest cities in Southern Italy. During our panoramic tour in Bari, the Old City (Bari Vecchia), Basilica of San Nicola (11th century), Teatro Petruzzelli, Palazzo della Città, Palazzo della Provincia, and the harbor street Lungomare di Bari are among the sights. After the tour, we proceed to Polignano a Mare. Polignano a Mare, known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic” for its deep blue sea, white houses, and natural beaches nestled among the cliffs, is a charming coastal town with narrow streets and impressive views. It is also the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, famous for the song “Volare”. After our visit to Polignano a Mare, transfer to our hotel in Bari. After check-in, we settle into our rooms. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 02 MONOPOLI – LECCE – BARI
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time specified by our guide. Our first stop is Monopoli. We take a short walk and spend free time in Monopoli, a typical Southern Italian town with its harbor, fishing boats, small squares, and colorful houses lined up along the coast. Then, we proceed to Lecce. In Lecce, referred to as the “Florence of the South”, the Basilica of Santa Croce, Piazza Sant’Oronzo, and the Roman amphitheater are among the sights to be seen panoramically. After the tour, we return to our hotel in Bari. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 03 MATERA – ALBEROBELLO – BARI
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time specified by our guide. Our first stop is Matera. We walk through the Sassi district, protected by UNESCO, with its houses carved into the rocks and cave churches. Matera is one of the most impressive historical settlements in Southern Italy. Then, we proceed to Alberobello, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In this town famous for its traditional stone houses with conical roofs known as Trulli, we will take a pleasant walk. Trullo Sovrano and the Trulli Museum are among the sights. After the tour, we return to our hotel in Bari. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 04 BARI – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
Early in the morning, we vacate our rooms and proceed to the airport at the time specified by our guide. After ticketing and baggage procedures, departure to Istanbul at 08:50 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1446. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 11:55 local time and the end of our tour.
